Benefits of walk and talk therapy:
Walk and talk therapy is a useful alternative to standard psychotherapy sessions. While we talk, certain areas of the brain are accessed and so it is easier to make connections and gain insights that we wouldn’t normally have. Walking can help some people become more comfortable with expressing emotions that otherwise might be harder to access. As a bonus, the health benefit of movement is integrated into the session, which helps with alleviating many symptoms of various mental health issues.
We can meet in person at various trails in Maryland and one close to where I live, in Hanover, MD. If you are far away, we can still conduct a session via phone or video call, while we each walk separately.
